These guys are a rare find in the auto repair business. Competent, honest, reasonably priced and endlessly patient with my dumb questions. They'll gladly fix your car, but are happy to tell you what's wrong if it's something that you can fix yourself, at no charge. Good guys.
Today's cars are so complicated nowadays that you need an auto repair shop that specializes in your vehicle. Well, if you drive a Volvo at or near Anchorage Alaska, you have the dealer and Independent Auto. Fortunately, for me I chose these guys. They were awesome! From now on, I would only trust my maintenance and repair work to them.
These guys are honest, competent mechanics. I trust them to take care of the Volvos driven by my wife and daughter and my aging Trooper. we followed Randy from the local dealership when he started up and a very glad he's got his own shop.
I would recommend buying a Volvo just so you could have these guys repair it!
Excellent service and trustworthy. I needed my car ready for a long haul with a shoestring budget and they were very thoughtful in helping me understand repair priorities, etc. I only wish I could have them fix everything needed but certainly intend to go back. I have owned my '98 V70 in Alaska for many years and no one has done as good a job with it as Independent Auto.
